Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a fantastic electric bike tour with Gaetan and Nicole from Wheels and Waves. definitely one of the more memorable things you can do in this area, especially if you’re into this kind of adventure, like we are.
What makes it so special is where you are. You’re riding through the cork forests of Los Alcornocales Natural Park—one of the largest and most untouched natural parks in Europe—and it’s literally right on our doorstep. Ancient trees, fresh clean air, and views that just keep getting better the higher you go.
The e-bikes are a real help. The climbs still give you that sense of effort and adventure, but they’re not as daunting, and the reward is well worth it. Long flowing descents, rocky downhill sections, and plenty of moments to stop and take it all in. It’s a great balance of relaxed and exhilarating.
Gaetan and Nicole are brilliant hosts. Big shout out to them. They clearly care about what they do and make the whole experience feel safe, easy, and enjoyable from start to finish.
We did have a bit of drama right at the end back near Alcaidesa, one of our group got a little carried away on a very steep downhill and took a heavy fall, not ideal. But these things can happen when you get caught up in the moment.
Importantly, everything was handled calmly and professionally, and even Stephan (who took the tumble!) says he had a great time.
If you’re considering it, it’s well worth doing. A really enjoyable way to experience the area, and something we’d happily do again.
