Terms and Conditions – WHEELS AND WAVES

The person signing the rental agreement must be over 18 years old and will be held responsible for all bicycles, scooters, paddleboards, kayaks, and equipment rented under their name.

– Delivery and return of bicycles, scooters, paddleboards, and kayaks will take place at the WHEELS AND WAVES shop located at Plaza Loma del Rey, Local 40, La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz.

– Payment must be made at the time of collecting the bicycle, scooter, paddleboard, kayak, or any other rented item.

– No refunds will be given for early returns before the end of the agreed rental period.

– The loss of locks and/or lock keys will result in the full forfeiture of the deposit.

– When renting by the hour, a surcharge of €20 will apply for each additional hour not included in the original agreement.

– Bicycles, scooters, paddleboards, and kayaks are only covered by third-party liability insurance. The client is fully responsible for any damage caused to themselves, but not to third parties. Wheels and Waves accepts no responsibility for claims arising from accidents, injuries, or damage caused to the client or their belongings.

– The client must take good care of the rented items and take all necessary precautions to protect them from damage, loss, or theft. Should any of these occur during the rental period, the client will immediately assume the full cost of replacement at market prices. In case of loss or theft, replacement costs start at €1,500 per mobility item, plus the cost of any accessories. Clients are required to properly lock the bicycles and/or scooters whenever they are not in sight. We recommend obtaining travel insurance that covers rental equipment damage or loss.

– Rented items must be stored indoors between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., as required by our insurance provider.

– It is the responsibility of the client and any companions to follow Spanish traffic laws and local regulations, including those for paddleboards and kayaks.

– In case of a flat tire, breakage, or any other malfunction, the client must return the item to the shop at their own expense. We will do our best to assist and offer a replacement item if available. We do not reimburse repairs made outside our workshop.

– At the time of item delivery, the client must leave a copy of their ID card, passport, or driver’s license as a security deposit. The person making the reservation is responsible for all items rented under their name.

– Please return all items clean. A cleaning fee of €5 per item will be charged for items returned in EXTREMELY dirty condition.

– By signing this agreement, the client confirms that the items were received in proper condition and suitable for use, and accepts all rental terms and conditions. All rented items are the client’s responsibility from the moment they leave our shop.

Guided Excursions and Tours

– Wheels and Waves also offers guided excursions and tours using bicycles, scooters, paddleboards, and kayaks. These activities are subject to availability and weather conditions.

– Participants must follow all instructions provided by the guide and comply with all safety rules. Clients participate under their own responsibility and must sign the consent form prior to the activity (this agreement).

– In case of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions, a new date will be offered or a full refund will be issued.

Cancellation Policy

– If the client cancels the reservation at least 48 hours before the scheduled rental or excursion, a full refund (100%) will be issued.

– If the cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance, 50% of the amount paid will be refunded.

– If the cancellation is made on the same day as the rental or excursion, no refund will be issued.
